Every person has an equal right to accommodation, free from discrimination on the basis of mental illness, another disability, source of income or any other personal characteristic.
The City of Toronto has approved a new Toronto Housing Charter — the first of its kind in Canada. The Charter states that “All residents should be able to live in their neighbourhood of choice without discrimination.”
